White Coat Ceremony
The white coat, a symbol of the medical profession for more than 100 years, signifies the student’s commitment to the practice of medicine and the patient-physician relationship.
The Inaugural Class White Coat Ceremony will be held August 2 at 10:30 AM in the McAfee Concert Hall on the Belmont University Campus.
Event Information
We’re fortunate that the McAfee Concert Hall boasts 876 seats so tickets will not be required. Please invite friends, family, and loved ones to attend!
With the ceremony beginning promptly at 10:30 am, we will be opening McAfee Concert Hall at 10:00 AM for guests and there's not a bad seat in the house!
This is a professional and celebratory event. We encourage students and guests to dress accordingly.
To allow time for the ceremony and plenty of photos following the ceremony, we recommend 1:00 PM lunch reservations for celebrations.
Of course! Our university photographer will be capturing the coating of students as well as moments throughout the day. A link to download photos will be provided to your student. You will have plenty of options for personal photography following the ceremony.
Your medical school student will be able to show you around our stunning new facility! Scheduled orientation events will conclude Thursday afternoon so your student will have free time Thursday evening through Sunday evening. Their first day of medical school classes starts Monday, August 5.
Please reach out to the Student Affairs team. We look forward to welcoming you to the Frist College of Medicine community!
