Cutting-Edge Simulation for Tomorrow’s Healthcare Leaders

The Thomas F. Frist, Jr. College of Medicine new medical school building is a 195,000 square-foot building and features 50,000 square feet of interdisciplinary simulation center. The center is staffed by experts in simulation education and health professions faculty in medicine, nursing, occupational therapy, pharmacy, physical therapy, and social work, the simulation center will feature the most advanced technology including virtual reality simulation, high-fidelity manikins, clinical skills training, standardized patient and highly specialized scenarios.  All simulated and clinical skill assessments in the center ensure students are building clinical competencies to ensure success in the clinical environment in both clerkships and then in clinical residencies.
