Network Infrastructure

The Network Infrastructure department at Belmont University is responsible for provisioning, managing, and maintaining the wiring infrastructure and network services that are offered at the University.   The department strives to manage and enhance the enterprise infrastructure and services that support the university’s strategic, tactical, and operational goals.

The Network Infrastructure department is responsible for the following areas:

  • Internet
  • Wired and wireless networks
  • Fiber and Copper cabling infrastructure
  • Faculty, staff and student email
  • Telephone service
  • Cable TV Service
  • Access Control
  • Firewalls
  • Active Directory
  • DNS
  • VPN access
  • IP camera system

The Network Infrastructure Department reports to the Associate Vice President and Chief Information Officer for LITS.  The Network Infrastructure department works closely with the other units in LITS to provide overall IT and project management support for the university community.

Normal hours of operation are Monday-Friday, 8:00AM – 4:30PM.
