Belmont Guitar Camp

June 3-7, 2024

The Belmont Guitar Camp is a 5-day event that takes place at Belmont University’s beautiful campus in the heart of Nashville, Tennessee. Students entering grades 9-12 will engage in rehearsals, group lessons, masterclasses, and performances with the outstanding guitar faculty at Belmont University. This camp will focus on a variety of commercial styles, such as funk, rock, country, jazz, among others.

Daily Schedule:

9am - 4pm
  • Guitar styles class
  • Guitar ensemble rehearsal
  • Lunch
  • Group lesson/masterclass
  • Theory class
Activities
  • Group lessons and masterclasses
  • Ensemble and classroom activities in improvisation, music theory and technique
  • Faculty and student concerts

 

2024 Costs:

Guitar Camp is a day-camp only. NO dorm accommodations are available.

Commuter Camper: $450

  • Includes tuition for group lessons and masterclasses, daily lunches/one dinner, camp t-shirt, admission to faculty concert, and a tour of the Gallery of Iconic Guitars (https://www.thegigatbelmont.com)

Eligibility:

Guitar Camp is open to students entering grades 9-12 in the Fall of 2024, pending a successful audition. Enrollment is limited.

Details about the video submission:

  • The student can play any song that displays the student's abilities on the instrument.
  • The student can play either electric or acoustic guitar.
  • The length of the video should be around 2-4 minutes long.
  • The performance can be solo, with a group, or with a backing track.
