Why Belmont Academy

Where Your Musical Journey Begins

Learn from the Best in Nashville

Belmont Academy is the community music program of Belmont University, offering world-class instruction to young musicians, pre-college students and adult learners.

For more than 30 years, Belmont Academy has connected Nashville’s aspiring musicians — from preschoolers to pre-professionals to adult beginners — with the expertise, mentorship and community of Belmont University's College of Music and Performing Arts.

World-Class Instruction from Working Musicians

You gain access to teachers who are also performers, university faculty, composers, recording artists and touring professionals. Many of our instructors have played with nationally known ensembles, appeared on major-label recordings and trained at elite institutions such as Juilliard, the Royal Academy of Music (London), Berklee College of Music and Indiana University.
