Activities for Uncovering Your Why

Though it seems like a lofty task, the process of uncovering your "Why" is a remarkably simple undertaking. The most beautiful part of this task is that portions of your "Why" will begin to uncover themselves without you even trying. By simply listening to purpose-driven speakers, you will start noticing your mind orienting toward conversations of purpose. You will also begin to notice others who are living purposeful lives. You may begin to speak the language of purpose - that is to say that speaking of and thinking about your purpose will start to feel more natural.

While some of this will occur effortlessly, there is still another dimension of uncovering your purpose that requires active, intentional participation. You can expect to engage in conversations around your motivations. You may find that you are discussing purposeful living with others in your Purpose Cluster (who might mirror your motivations but be enrolled in a different major). You will chart your "Odyssey Plan" and create a tangible representation of what you've learned.

While some of the activities completed in this course will vary based on the section and instructor, the core set of activities that you can expect to complete is outlined below.

  • Speaker Reflections
  • Odyssey Plan
  • Journey Showcase Project
