Lisa joined Belmont in January 2015 with more than 15 years of experience supporting law students and law school graduates at Vanderbilt University Law School, where she specialized in assisting students seeking careers in public interest law. Her background also includes positions in corporate training and in human resources.
Lisa supports law students and alumni with job strategy, professional development and career counseling services. Additionally, she conducts employer outreach, facilitates Belmont’s American Inn of Court chapter, and coordinates the Peer Mentor Program. Lisa also compiles required reporting statistics for the American Bar Association and the National Association for Law Placement.
Lisa holds a B.B.A. with a concentration in management from Belmont University. She is a member of Lawyers Association for Women and regularly volunteers with The Next Door, Jobs for Life, and the Nashville Food Project.

Concetta Smith received her B.A. in Business Economics from Wofford College in Spartanburg, SC. After graduation, she spent two years working in the financial industry in Raleigh, NC before accepting a job as an information technology recruiter in Nashville. As a recruiter, Concetta specialized in resume building, interviewing, and salary negotiations. Coming from a family of lawyers, Concetta was eager to make the transition from IT to Law, and joined the Office of Career & Professional Development in January 2014.
Concetta’s responsibilities include meeting with students to discuss job search strategies, resume and cover letter drafting, and interview preparation. She works with legal employers to coordinate On-Campus Interviews, internships, and other employment opportunities. Concetta also assists in the administration of the Peer Mentor Program and manages Belmont's American Inn of Court chapter.
In 2017, Concetta was recognized as one of Nashville’s Top 30 Under 30 for her philanthropic involvement. She serves on the Boards of the Young Leaders Council and Preston Taylor Ministries. She is also a member of the March of Dimes Jr. Board, the Nashville Junior League, and a committee member with The Women’s Fund.
