Financial Aid Checklist
  • Complete your FAFSA.
  • Review your SAR (Student Aid Report) e-mail from the Department of Education for missing information.
  • Review your Financial Aid Notification and Outstanding Requirements through MyBelmont.
    Complete Verification if selected.
  • Complete any required forms (Outside Scholarship, Multi-Student Discount, Third Party Billing, etc.) and return the forms to SFS.
  • Use our Cost Estimator to estimate your charges for the year.
  • If borrowing Stafford loans, please visit https://studentaid.gov/ and complete Entrance Counseling and  Master Promissory Note.
  • For parents borrowing a Parent PLUS loan, visit https://studentaid.gov/ and complete the Parent PLUS application and the Master Promissory Note. 
  • For questions on how to set up Nelnet Payment Plan, you can click here or call 1-800-609-8056.
  • Set up any Authorized Users through your MyBelmont account. E-bill statements will only be sent to students and Authorized Users.
  • E-bill statements will be sent out in mid-July for students who priority register for the Fall 2023 semester.
  • Pay your account in full by August 16, 2023 for the Fall 2023 semester.
