Mission Opportunities for Students
When we talk about "missions" at Belmont, it is not just about going on trips, but looking for ways to continually participate in the incredible work God’s doing all around us. Belmont on Mission wants to empower and equip students to engage and transform the world, and we seek to provide spiritually significant, vocationally relevant, and sustainable opportunities for our students to do so.

PLUNGE 2025-2026: Experience a Different Side of Nashville
In past years, PLUNGE has been a Fall Break mission trip right here in Nashville. But this year, we're turning it into a series of one-day service projects that will happen monthly throughout the academic year.
We'll be partnering with some of Nashville's best Christian ministries and non-profit organizations to make an impact all over the city. These experiences are an incredible way to participate in the work God is doing all around us, and they're also a great way to get to know other students at Belmont.
More Details Coming Soon
Dates and locations for this year's Plunge service projects will be announced at the beginning of each semester on BruinLink, GetConnected, and the University Ministries Instagram page.
Our Spring Break mission trips are open to all students, and they offer incredible opportunities to be immersed in a local culture and broaden your exposure to what God is doing in other parts of the country and the world. We partner with ministries in both domestic and international locations for Spring Break missions trips, which are led by members of our faculty and staff.

In addition to Spring Break mission trips, during the summer months we work with partners across campus to create high-impact, sustainable, short-term missions trips in locations around the globe.

"I have always held such a strong desire to go on mission trips, but I have never had the means to do so. My heart has been really touched this week. I went into this trip knowing that I could help make a difference in the lives of others, but I never expected the difference they would make in mine."
Local Service Initiatives
Belmont is a host site for the Room In the Inn, a local program that serves our unhoused neighbors during the winter months. From November through March, we feed and shelter those who would other wise be out in the cold.
Each week, Belmont students can sign up for one of three volunteer positions for Room In The Inn through Belmont on Mission's dedicated page in GetConnected.
Through ongoing partnerships with local organizations, students can go "Into Nashville" on a consistent basis to participate in the work of local missions, social justice, and community impact. This program exposes Belmont students to the many unique communities of Nashville and offers insight on how to engage and embrace people who live at the margins of society.
