The HUB: Office of Hope, Unity & Belonging

A place where you can belong

Belmont University is committed to fostering an environment of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging. Recognizing that a diverse campus community enriches the educational experience for all, Belmont actively promotes an inclusive campus culture—one where individuals from various backgrounds, perspectives, and identities are valued and respected.

In the Fall of 2022 Belmont University announced the establishment of the Office of Hope, Unity and Belonging (The HUB). The formation of this new department reflects Belmont’s momentum and commitment to Pathway four of the strategic visioning process for 2030: Embracing Hope and Inclusive Excellence.

The HUB—led by Dr. D’Angelo Taylor Inaugural Vice President for Hope, Unity and Belonging—serves as a centralized office dedicated to diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging initiatives, carrying out the institution’s desire for all community members to experience a meaningful and authentic sense of connection.

The HUB is responsible for managing all efforts related to Title IX compliance and prevention, as well as all non-discrimination and equity work (Titles VI, VII and IX) including prevention, protection and accountability.

Belmont prioritizes creating equitable opportunities for all members of our campus community—encouraging open dialogue where all can be their authentic selves and contribute to our vibrant and diverse community.
