Exact dates will be finalized with each specific high school and announced to candidates by their high school guidance counselor.

Counselors Summit

An on-campus lunch will be offered to school counselors and community partners to outline scholarship program guidelines and to overview the recruitment timeline and selection processes.

Candidate Interest Submission

Each candidate must meet with their school counselor to submit an interest form for the Bell Tower Scholarship program. The interest submission should consist of name and official transcripts. Completion of this component grants access to the Candidate Portal.

Virtual Open House

An online information session will be hosted by Belmont University to learn more about the scholarship program, application process and timeline. Parents are also encouraged to participate. (Virtual invitation, registration and access instructions to follow.)

Belmont Preview Day • September 16

Interested Candidates and their families are highly encouraged to attend Preview Day to learn more about Belmont University. Sessions will cover everything from academics to student life.

Virtual Information Session • September 19

An online information session will be hosted by Belmont University to learn more about the scholarship program, application process and timeline. Parents are also encouraged to participate. Students may obtain registration information from their school counselor.

Application Submission

Eligible students must submit the application for 2023 Undergraduate Admission, consisting of a completed essay and resume of activities. Counselors must submit official high school transcripts, ACT/ SAT test scores (optional) and guidance counselor (or principal) recommendations. Contact School Counselor for application instructions and fee waiver.

October 7th • Belmont Preview Day
Interested Candidates and their families are highly encouraged to attend Preview Day to learn more about Belmont University. Sessions will cover everything from academics to student life.

Interview Day

Selected candidates with submitted applications will be invited to interview with Scholarship Committee (location in-person at high school)

November 4th • Belmont Preview Day

November 15 • Scholarship Application Deadline
Eligible students must submit the application for 2024 undergraduate admission and all materials to be considered for the Bell Tower Scholarship.

Candidate Day

Interviews will be held at participating high schools. Selected applicants will be invited to an interview with the Scholarship Committee. Interviews will be held in-person at the high schools.

February 20 • Candidate Day

Selected candidates come to Belmont for a campus tour, meet current Bell Tower Scholars, faculty and staff members, and participate in group processing activities with all high schools.

Signing Day

The deadline to return signed offer letters to Belmont University to confirm acceptance of the scholarship offer.

Be Belmont Day & On-Boarding

An invitation-only event for all Fall 2023 admitted seniors held at Belmont. All new Scholars are required to attend. Key announcements and action steps for the Bell Tower program will be discussed.

Application Checklist

  • Candidate Interest Submission from School Counselor
  • Degree-seeking Application Official
  • ACT/SAT test score (minimum ACT: 20 composite score) *Test Optional*
  • Official High School Transcript (minimum GPA: 3.00 weighted GPA)
  • School Counselor or HS Principal Recommendation
  • FAFSA submission (if eligible) Financial need is considered when reviewing scholarship applications.
