The Teaching Center is Belmont University's development hub for faculty, supporting educators at every stage of their teaching journey. Established in 1994, we provide resources, programs, and personalized support to help faculty create meaningful, effective, and student-centered learning experiences. Our work is grounded in the belief that great teaching is a craft that grows through reflection, collaboration, and curiosity.
- Consultations & Feedback: Schedule one-on-one conversations to discuss course design, teaching strategies, student engagement, or any aspect of your teaching practice. We also provide confidential midcourse formative reviews where we gather student input to help you make real-time adjustments, and course evaluations consultations at the end of each academic year.
- Lunch Discussions & Workshops: Participate in interactive sessions on timely teaching topics, from syllabus design to contemplative teaching, engaging class discussions to integrating technology.
- Learning Communities: Join reading groups, writing groups, and collaborative cohorts where faculty explore teaching ideas together in supportive, collegial settings.
