Belmont named to Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society’s 2025 Transfer Honor Roll

Belmont has been named to the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society’s (PTK) 2025 Transfer Honor Roll, a national distinction recognizing 251 colleges and universities for creating pathways to success for transfer students.

The honor places Belmont among the top 25% of PTK’s Transfer Friendliness Ratings, highlighting its commitment to removing barriers and supporting transfer students in their degree completion journeys.

The Transfer Honor Roll is determined by 40 key metrics including cost and financial aid, campus life, admissions practices and more, with analysis from the National Student Clearinghouse and the society’s college-matching platform PTK Connect.

PTK is a prestigious international honor society for students enrolled in associate degree-granting institutions, dedicated to recognizing academic excellence and providing leadership, service, fellowship and professional development opportunities for members.

Current PTK members transferring to Belmont receive $2,500 in yearly scholarship support when meeting cumulative GPA and minimum hour requirements, demonstrating the University’s transfer-friendly approach to scholarship aid.

“These colleges are doing more than just opening doors — they’re walking students through them,” said Dr. Lynn Tincher-Ladner, PTK president and CEO about the 2025 Honor Roll honorees. “Their clear, supportive pathways prove what’s possible when student success is truly the priority.”

Belmont’s Honor Roll inclusion reflects its desire to be a place where students of all backgrounds can succeed, whether they begin their journey on campus or transfer from another institution.
