Education services company recognizes university as ‘academically outstanding’ in the region for 2026
Belmont University landed a spot on the Princeton Review’s ‘2026 Best Colleges: Region by Region’ list, earning the title as one of the best schools in the South.
Deemed worth considering by prospective students, Belmont is known for its engaging and practical academic programs that help students flourish, as well as its inviting atmosphere.

In the heart of Music City, Belmont’s thriving music and entertainment programs keep an active pulse on the industry while contributing to the advancement and nurturing of artists across a range of fields. One student explained that “At any given moment, you can hear someone practicing or performing.” The Mike Curb College of Music Business and Entertainment and the College of Music & Performing Arts are trusted pipelines, cultivating outstanding alumni like Brad Paisley, Ashley Gorley, Emily Falvey and more.
However, music is only a glimpse into what Belmont has to offer.
One student noted that Belmont “has one of the best nursing programs in the state.” With an interdisciplinary approach to health care, Belmont continuously engages students and professionals across nursing, pharmacy and medicine through local and international trips, state-of-the-art facilities and community impact.
Attentive and caring faculty members are also commonly praised among alumni and current students. Students in the social work program speak highly of their “excellent” faculty.
With a 12:1 student to faculty ratio, faculty “know your name and face and remember you after you have finished their class,” contributing to creating a culture of belonging on campus.

The colleges and universities named to the Princeton Review lists each year display excellence in academics, faculty and student life and Belmont is no stranger to receiving these recognitions. The University was recognized as ‘Best Business Schools for 2025’ for the on-campus MBA, and made the 2024 lists for Top 50 Entrepreneurship: Undergraduate and Top South Entrepreneurship: Undergraduate.
