- Sam Says: I love taking pictures... It is something I have been called to do. I love the interaction on campus. It is so fun here. There is so much beauty on campus. Everywhere you look there is a stunning view!
SAM SAYS: Last week I was walking around Bear Creek and I heard an angel singing but I did not see anyone... I walked up the creek and saw a student sing and playing guitar. I awkwardly waved and asked if I could take pictures.... She agreed and I hung out for a bit listening and taking pictures. It was pretty awesome to be a part of. I love how she is placed in the middle of all the green and then there is a pink blanket that brings the picture together.
SAM SAYS: My favorite event in the summer is the orientation weeks. When the TT and Summer Staff are back on campus spreading joy and having fun with new students. I love the energy they bring with their signs and jumping. In this photo I like their shadows and the placement on campus.
SAM SAYS: I always try and get to one rodeo at night. It is the best! I love this shot because of the energy of the two guys (and everyone). It is so fun, not that it is a great picture, but I love all the smiles and fun. It is amazing to watch all these strangers coming together to dance and yell and just have fun.
SAM SAYS: Aside from orientation, I love the flowers. A couple weeks ago my friend Matt Stein, in landscaping at Belmont, took this AMAZING picture of a bee with pollen all over it, and it inspired me the next few days to get out early on campus to the flowers in the Concentric circles garden (next to Massey Performing Arts Center in the historic quad) looking for pretty bee and flower shots. I got one I really liked: I like the depth of this image, where my eye bounces around the picture to find a bee in the middle. All the plants lead your eyes to the bee. I love all the colors too... But not as much as Matt's.
