Biography

Dr. Yulonda Warren joined the Belmont faculty in the summer of 2023. A Nashville native, Dr. Warren received her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Tennessee State University. After spending six years as a science instructor in the Metropolitan Nashville Public School System and obtaining her Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction, she received her Doctor of Pharmacy from Belmont University College of Pharmacy in 2019. After graduation, she completed an ASHP-accredited PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at Ascension Saint Thomas West Hospital here in Nashville, TN. After completing her residency, Dr. Warren worked at Ascension Saint Thomas West Hospital serving as a clinical pharmacist on the oncology and pulmonary patient units. During that time, she also served as a member of the Ascension Saint Thomas Network Cancer Committee and a preceptor for Advance Pharmacy Practice Experience students from Belmont University College of Pharmacy and Lipscomb College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences.

As an Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice, Dr. Warren teaches in Pathophysiology and Therapeutics and Therapeutic Case Studies. She has a practice site at Vanderbilt University Medical Center where she provides pharmaceutical care services for two Internal Medicine teams. Her practice site serves as an Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience site for student pharmacists in their fourth year of the pharmacy curriculum.
