Biography

Dr. Ted Peetz joined Belmont University and the Department of Sport Administration in the Fall of 2012. Dr. Peetz earned a Doctorate of Philosophy in Sport Education Leadership from the University of Nevada Las Vegas; a Master of Education in Sport Management from Bowling Green State University; and a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Kansas State University.

Prior to joining the faculty at Belmont, he coordinated the Sport Management Program at Iowa Wesleyan College where he taught courses in sport marketing, sport facility management, sport law and organizational behavior. In addition to his teaching responsibilities he also coached the men’s and women’s golf teams.  During his graduate work he served as a teaching/ research assistant at both UNLV and Bowling Green State University. His research interests include sport consumer behavior and the effectiveness of celebrity athlete endorsers. 

Dr. Peetz has presented his work at national and international conferences and is a member of the North American Society for Sport Management (NASSM) and the Sport Marketing Association (SMA). Born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin he is an avid Green Bay Packer fan who enjoys spending time playing golf and finding great music.
