Biography
Shunta earned her Master of Science Degree in Leadership and Organizational Development from South University. She is currently pursuing her Doctor of Education in Leadership and Professional Practice from Trevecca Nazarene University. Shunta brings more than 20 years of experience in higher education administration and faculty affairs. Prior to joining Belmont University, she served as the Director of Operations in the Office of the Chancellor at Vanderbilt University and Chief of Staff at Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry. Shunta began her career in health sciences education at Morehouse School of Medicine where she served in a number of roles leading to the Faculty and Academic Affairs Manager in the Office of the Dean.
