Biography

Sarah Keil joined Belmont University in 2023 as the Research and Learning Services Librarian for Medicine. She is excited to be involved in the development of the Medical Library, serving the Frist College of Medicine. Sarah is passionate about working with students, and wants to empower them to learn research skills to support their academic goals as well as future professional and personal needs. Her research interests include DEIA and libraries, information literacy, and student-centered practices in the library. 

Sarah currently serves as the Middle Tennessee Academic Library representative for Tenn-Share, the state library consortium, and is chair of the Tenn-Share Electronic Resources Committee. She holds a Master of Library Science and a Master of Arts in African Studies from Indiana University Bloomington, along with a Bachelor of Arts in Interdepartmental Studies with a concentration in Africana Studies from Wittenberg University. Previously, Sarah worked as a librarian at Trevecca Nazarene University.
