Biography

Sam Phillips (PhD University of North Carolina at Greensboro, MA/MEd University of Alabama at Birmingham) is an associate professor of English with a specialization in rhetoric and writing studies. His research interests include the history and pedagogy of writing studies, neurodivergent rhetorics, and rhetorics of consent, as well as style and rhetorics of religion. His teaching often focuses on writing about personal interests, and he especially enjoys thinking with students about movies.
