Biography

Rob Dennis brings nearly three decades of professional experience in recording, broadcast production, studio operations, consulting, and audio-system design to his role as Technical Director for Belmont University's Mike Curb College of Entertainment & Music Business.

After moving to Nashville, Dennis founded Rack-N-Roll Audio in 1997. Through the company, he has built a wide-ranging career in live concert recording, television and radio broadcasting, studio design and installation, professional audio rentals and sales, and technical consulting.

His credits include work with Carrie Underwood, Ringo Starr, Eric Church, Kenny Chesney, Brian Wilson, Dave Cobb, Zac Brown Band, the Red Clay Strays, Megan Moroney, Sam Hunt, Jelly Roll, and the Fisk Jubilee Singers. Dennis also contributed to the first season of ABC's Nashville, working alongside T Bone Burnett. His work has appeared on NBC, CBS, ABC, HBO, Amazon Live, and SiriusXM, as well as productions for the GRAMMY Awards, ACM Awards, CMA Awards, CMT Music Awards, and Super Bowl 50.

In 2022, Dennis earned his first GRAMMY Award as associate producer and engineer on Celebrating Fisk!, winner of Best Roots Gospel Album. His other notable work includes recordings and broadcasts from Madison Square Garden, the Ryman Auditorium, and Nashville's Pinnacle.

Before joining Belmont, Dennis served the university as a guest lecturer and showcase judge. As Technical Director, he applies his industry experience to supporting the college's facilities, technical operations, faculty, and students. Outside of work, Dennis is a proud husband to Ashley and father to their two children, Berkley and Sullivan.
