Reid Cimala

Reid is a registered architect and Studio Design Leader at Gresham Smith in Nashville. Having designed and executed numerous  award-winning projects across the United States, Reid brings his professional experience to the classroom, equipping students to make a difference in the world through the impact of design.

He is fascinated by the intersection of architectural education and professional practice and enjoys working with students to take raw ideas and craft them into visual, tactile, and spatial experiences. He believes that architecture is fundamentally an act of culture and is committed to helping students develop a thorough design process which yields ideas that are beautiful, clear and uncompromising.

He holds a Bachelor of Architecture with Honors from the University of Tennessee where he was awarded the AIA  Henry Adams Certificate.
