Degree/Training/Current School Program: BA in Sociology & Political Science (Furman University), Master of Social Work (University of South Carolina)
Approach to Therapy: It is most important to me to help the student feel safe, comfortable and welcome in the counseling space. I utilize a person-centered approach to counseling and incorporate solution focused and cognitive behavioral interventions as well as motivational interviewing. My areas of interest are acculturation stress, depression, anxiety, trauma, and grief. In addition, I enjoy working with students from immigrant and refugee backgrounds as well as students pursuing health related fields.
Favorite Way to Destress: walking, baking, spending time with family/friends, puzzling, and fiction audiobooks
Favorite Place to Unwind: Edwin Warner Park, River Park, Radnor Lake, or any local bookstore
