Biography

Piper Jones is a Nashville native, recording artist, and passionate educator joining the commercial voice faculty at Belmont University. A double alumna of Belmont’s renowned Commercial Music program, she brings nearly two decades of experience as a performer, songwriter, and teaching artist.

With a new album releasing this year, Piper continues to build on a career that spans genres and stages. She has a songwriting credit on a Dove Award-winning album by the acclaimed CCM group Selah. Her versatile vocal work has landed her performance and recording opportunities alongside artists such as The War and TreatyCage the Elephant, and Eric Church. Piper’s journey also includes a memorable appearance on the fourteenth season of American Idol.

A dedicated worship leader and active member of the Nashville theatre community, she is driven by a deep love for God and a commitment to artistry with purpose. Her teaching philosophy is rooted in encouragement, authenticity, and excellence—guiding young artists to find both their voice and their calling.

Returning to Belmont as faculty is a full-circle moment she embraces with gratitude and excitement, ready to pour into the next generation of creatives.
