Biography

Dr. Patrick Morse joined the faculty at Belmont University in the fall of 2016 after receiving his Ph.D. in Social/Personality Psychology from the University of California, Riverside earlier that year. His teaching interests generally include Social, Personality, and Health Psychology, as well as other topics that pique his interests at any given time. His research generally addresses how personality and situations help us better understand situation perceptions and outcomes, including those in healthcare contexts. He has also conducted research in person perception, and he has recently started exploring questions concerning whether and how people intend to change aspects of their personality.

Outside of the university, Dr. Morse enjoys staying active, taking road trips, and playing hypo-competitive sports hyper-competitively.
