BIOGRAPHY

Misty serves as a Program Assistant and Adjunct Coordinator, where she supports a wide range of academic and administrative functions, including maintaining student records, coordinating mentor assignments, managing course registrations, assisting with orientation planning, overseeing website updates, building course schedules, and facilitating scholarship processes. She also ensures compliance by preparing and submitting required documentation for students pursuing board examinations.

Since joining Belmont University in 2009, Misty has contributed across multiple offices and roles, bringing a collaborative spirit to her work and serving on several college- and university-level committees. In April 2023, she was recognized with the Agent of Hope Bridge Building Award for her dedication to fostering connection and support within the academic community.

Misty holds an A.S. in Small Business Administration from Indiana Vocational Technical School, a B.S. in Liberal Studies from Belmont University, and both an M.A. in English and an Ed.D. with a specialized track in Higher Education and Teaching from Trevecca Nazarene University. Her professional focus centers on graduate student success and retention, with a particular passion for supporting first-generation graduate students as they pursue their educational goals.

Outside of her professional role, Misty enjoys traveling, antiquing, and spending time with family and friends. A lifelong learner, she jokingly notes a personal tradition of earning a degree each decade.
