Biography
Dr. Rowland is Chair of Graduate Nursing Programs and a nurse educator at Belmont University's Inman College of Nursing. In this role, she leads the DNP program, overseeing curriculum across all three tracks. Meg is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with over ten years of experience in primary care. She earned a BA in Biochemistry from DePauw University and her MSN from Vanderbilt University. Her healthcare journey has been driven by a deep-seated desire to provide comprehensive, whole-person primary care while championing improved healthcare access and addressing health inequities through evidence-based practice. She holds a joint Doctor of Nursing Practice and Master of Public Health from Johns Hopkins University, where her scholarship focused on maternal health equity and policy approaches to reducing maternal mortality. That work continues to shape her practice today, as she remains engaged in health policy analysis and translating evidence into systems-level change that improves health outcomes for all people.
