Biography

Mark Morgan is a versatile trumpet performer, composer, arranger, and educator whose career has taken him from concert stages and Broadway tours to international cruise lines, military ensembles, and the classroom. Equally at home in jazz, commercial music, classical, and Latin styles, he is recognized for his expressive musicianship and stylistic versatility.

After earning his bachelor's degree in Music Education from Tennessee Technological University, Mark began his professional career performing internationally with Celebrity Cruises and Royal Caribbean International. Upon completing his contracts at sea, he moved to New York City to pursue a Master of Music in Jazz Performance at SUNY Purchase, where he studied with Ray Vega, Scott Wendholt, and Jon Faddis. While living in New York, he established himself as an active freelance musician, performing at renowned venues across the country, including the Kennedy Center, Madison Square Garden, the Blue Note Jazz Club
in New York City, and the Chicago Theatre, as well as on the national tours of Peter Pan and The Wizard of Oz.

In 2014, Mark joined the United States Air Force's Heritage of America Band, performing as a featured soloist with the Rhythm in Blue Jazz Ensemble, Concert Band, and Ceremonial Brass Quintet.

In addition to performing, Mark is a dedicated educator. He has taught Brass Methods at Middle Tennessee State University and co-led the university's Salsa Band alongside Lalo Davila, sharing his passion for performance with the next
generation of musicians.

Based in Nashville, Tennessee, Mark maintains an active career as a freelance trumpet performer, composer, arranger, and educator.
