Biography
Dr. Leslie Folds joined the Belmont University faculty in 2003 and brings more than three decades of experience in nursing education. A board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Advanced Practice Registered Nurse and Certified Nurse Educator (CNE), Dr. Folds has maintained an active commitment to excellence in both nursing practice and education throughout her career.
Dr. Folds expertise lies in psychiatric-mental health nursing, experiential learning, and the development of innovative academic-practice partnerships and courses that prepare students for the transition to professional nursing practice.
Throughout her career, Dr. Folds has been recognized for her unwavering dedication to students and to Belmont University's mission of providing a student-centered educational experience. The recognition she cherishes most is the Presidential Faculty Achievement Award, which is one of Belmont University's highest faculty honors. This award acknowledges exceptional dedication to teaching, mentorship, and service to students both inside and outside the classroom.
