Biography

Larissa Krenzer holds a B.A. and M.A. in Communication from the University of Texas at El Paso and is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Communication at Regent University. With over a decade of university teaching experience, including eight years as a full-time instructor at the University of Texas at El Paso, she specializes in public speaking, interpersonal communication, business communication, and leadership.

         A proud Mexican American and bilingual in English and Spanish, Krenzer brings a culturally informed perspective to her teaching and mentorship. Before entering academia full time, she worked as a journalist with the Armed Forces Network in South Korea, covering cultural events and community stories for military and civilian audiences. Her scholarship centers on media, branding, and cultural studies, with recent presentations at the Popular Culture Association, the Disney, Culture and Society Research Network, and the Broadcast Education Association.

         Outside of academia, she enjoys traveling and creating memorable adventures with her husband and son, preferably but not limited to Disney-related locations.
