Biography

Kim Powell is the Director of the Office of Adult Degree Programs and Veteran Success at Belmont University.  In this role, she leads strategic initiatives that support adult learners and student veterans, while overseeing key partnerships with organizations including the Nashville Ballet and the Turney Center.  Kim is dedicated to enhancing the student experience and serves as an academic advisor for multiple student populations within Adult Degree Programs.

Kim is deeply passionate about empowering students to achieve their educational goals and pursue their dreams. She finds great fulfillment in helping students recognize their strengths, guiding them toward meaningful careers, and fostering a lifelong love of learning.

A native Tennessean, Kim is a proud alumna of Belmont University, where she earned a Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing. Having been part of the Belmont community since 1989, she has witnessed the University’s remarkable growth firsthand. Kim values being part of a supportive and caring environment that is committed to the personal growth and transformation of its students.
