Biography

Ken Landers is a veteran audio engineer, producer, musician, composer, and educator with over 30 years of experience across live sound reinforcement, studio recording, and broadcast production. An alumnus of Belmont University (B.M.) and Ohio University (M.A.), he has held various engineering roles, including Chief Engineer for MCMR Mobile Recording, Technical Director for complex performing arts facilities, and a recording engineer on hundreds of studio recordings. Additionally, he has served as a front-of-house engineer for numerous concerts and over 100 musical theater productions.

His commercial credits span national broadcast productions for Disney, Luaka Bop, and TNN, alongside studio and live credits for a genre-spanning roster including David Byrne, Mark Knopfler, *NSYNC, Elvis Costello, Mavis Staples, Peter Frampton, Willie Nelson, Dolly Parton, Garth Brooks, Vince Gill, and The Memphis Horns. A veteran educator, he has designed and taught curricula in studio tracking, audio post-production, live sound, synthesis, and music theory at institutions including Belmont, MTSU, TSU, and Ohio University. Landers is also an active session multi-instrumentalist, studio designer, acoustics consultant, and film composer whose scores and sound design have accompanied feature films, documentaries, television, and museum installations.
