Biography

Katy moved to Nashville last fall after spending four years in Florida. This will be her third year teaching preschool and her eighth year working with children in childcare and youth programs. She has enjoyed working with children and loves creating fun, engaging experiences where children can learn, explore, and grow.

Katy earned her bachelor’s degree in Communications, with minors in Environmental Science and Public Administration. While living in Florida, she had the opportunity to teach children through unique adventures such as fishing charters, kayaking, and archery. She brings that same sense of adventure, creativity, and enthusiasm into the classroom.

An avid athlete and sports fan, Katy also coaches youth soccer in Nashville. She enjoys encouraging children to build confidence, practice teamwork, and discover the joy of being active.

Most importantly, Katy feels blessed to have the opportunity to care for and encourage young children as they grow in their faith and understanding of God’s love. She is excited to be part of the Little Bruins community and looks forward to getting to know each child and family. One of her favorite Bible verses is, “Let the little children come to me.” — Matthew 19:14
