Jules O'Meara
Associate Professor of Anatomy
Thomas F. Frist, Jr. College of Medicine
Biography
Before transitioning into academia, Jules practiced dentistry in Scotland. After relocating with her family to New York in 2008, she unexpectedly discovered a passion for anatomy education. What began almost by chance quickly became a true calling, leading her to teach anatomy at NYU and, most recently, at Trevecca Nazarene University.
Jules' teaching interests include gross anatomy, neuroanatomy, and curriculum development. She is particularly passionate about creating engaging, interactive learning experiences that make anatomy approachable, clinically relevant, and memorable for students.
Outside of work, Jules enjoys spending time with her husband and their three daughters, getting together with friends, and staying active through activities like pickleball, running, and hiking. She's equally happy relaxing with a favorite TV show and plenty of snacks after a busy day.
