Event Coordinator

Mike Curb College of Entertainment & Music Business

Biography

Originally from Tuscaloosa, Alabama, Georgiann grew up performing on stage, training with the Alabama Ballet School, American Ballet Theatre, and Bolshoi Ballet Academy. That early love of live performance carried directly into her first job in the industry as a Stage Manager at The Historic Bama Theatre.

She went on to earn a B.S. in Integrated Marketing Communications with a specialization in Sports and Entertainment and a minor in General Business from the University of Mississippi. While at Ole Miss, she gained hands-on experience interning with the Nashville Predators at Bridgestone Arena and the Ole Miss Athletics office.

After graduating, Georgiann moved to Nashville full-time, where she spent nearly four years at Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center under Ryman Hospitality. First, as Assistant Manager of Special Events, she produced seasonal entertainment experiences including the resort's marquee "A Country Christmas” offerings and later, as an Event Sales Manager with Encore Global, guided clients through the planning and execution of large-scale corporate conferences, conventions, and expos.

Now at Belmont, Georgiann coordinates strategic live events for the college and co-advises the Belmont Showcase Series and Phi Mu Theta chapter, helping students build real-world skills in event planning, production, marketing, artist management, and hospitality.

Outside the office, she can be found on her yoga mat, digging through record store bins and antique mall booths, or curled up with a good fantasy novel.
