Eric Blake

Biography

Eric Blake serves as the Simulation Operations Manager at Belmont University’s Center for Interprofessional Engagement and Simulation, where he supports the operational, technical, and logistical delivery of healthcare simulation experiences. His work focuses on simulation operations, process improvement, technology integration, equipment management, and building collaborative relationships that strengthen simulation-based education.

Eric brings a diverse healthcare and operational background to his role, including service as a U.S. Navy Hospital Corpsman and experience supporting healthcare simulation within the Department of Veterans Affairs. He is a Certified Healthcare Simulation Operations Specialist (CHSOS) and Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE) through the Society for Simulation in Healthcare.

His professional interests include high-reliability simulation operations, staff development, psychological safety, operational standardization, and creating stronger connections among simulation professionals and programs. He has also contributed to published healthcare research and remains active in the broader simulation community.

Eric holds a Bachelor of Science in Liberal Arts from Excelsior University and is completing a Master of Science in Healthcare Simulation at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He is a member of Phi Kappa Phi and the Society for Simulation in Healthcare.
