Biography
Caresse John (Ph.D., Northern Illinois University) is an Associate Professor and Chair of the English Department. Her research and teaching interests are nineteenth- and twentieth-century American literature, gender studies, African American literature, twentieth-century poetry, and literary theory. She has published a number of articles on Nella Larsen, the most recent being “Cognitive Dissonance in Nella Larsen's Passing."
