Birography

Brian Nathan Seay is an award-winning producer, songwriter, and recording artist whose work is grounded in faith, culture, and soul. He serves as Adjunct Instructor and Director of the Gospel & R&B Commercial Ensemble, Voxology, in the School of Music, and as Associate Director of University Worship Music within University Ministries at Belmont University. Under his leadership since 2022, Voxology has grown into a nationally recognized ensemble, opening for artists such as PJ Morton and Kirk Franklin.

A Birmingham, Alabama native, Seay was honored in 2017 by The ASCAP Foundation as the recipient of the BMG Scholarship in honor of Quincy Jones, performing his original music in the Appel Room at Jazz at Lincoln Center. In 2024, he carried that work abroad, joining the "Harmony Across Borders" panel on cultural diplomacy at the ECP/TAD Forum in Luxembourg. A member of the Recording Academy, he performs as the artist Brian Nathan and has lent background and session vocals to artists including Jamie MacDonald and Gabby Barrett, while serving as Director of Worship at Koinonia Church in Nashville.

As a writer and producer, Seay contributed to "In Every Generation," a worship project produced through Belmont's Creative Arts Collective for Christian Life and Faith and recorded at Ocean Way Nashville, and his 2023 arrangement of Michael McKay's "A Perfect Sacrifice" was recognized by the composer and published. He is also the founder of the creative agency By My Culture.

Seay holds a Bachelor of Music in music business, with a concentration in piano, from Alabama A&M University, and a Master of Fine Arts in Recording Arts and Technologies from Middle Tennessee State University. When he is away from music, he enjoys time with his lovely wife, Andriana Seay, and their family.
