Moving From Conversation to Collaboration and Application

The Belmont Center for Nursing Innovation (CNI) invites innovators, educators, clinicians, students, and interdisciplinary partners to submit abstracts for Innovation Pitches and Innovation Posters for the upcoming 2025 Belmont Nursing Innovation Summit. If you're turning bold ideas into action, we want to showcase your work!

Submission Categories

Innovation Pitch

Think Shark Tank meets TED Talk—this format invites individuals or teams to pitch a bold idea or early-stage innovation in 3 minutes or less. Pitches should spotlight a problem, describe your innovative solution, and make the case for its impact.

Perfect for:

  • Early ideas or pilot-stage projects
  • Student or interdisciplinary teams
  • Innovations seeking feedback or support

If accepted, you may receive coaching or submit a recorded pitch for feedback.

Innovation Poster

This is your chance to visually showcase a project, solution, or innovation already in progress or implemented. Posters should emphasize what makes your work innovative and how it aligns with the Summit theme.

Both research-informed and practice-based innovations are welcome.

Submission Guidelines

  • Deadline: August 1, 2025
  • Word Limit: 300 words or less
  • Submission Format: All abstracts must be submitted via the online form.
  • Selection Criteria: Relevance to theme, originality of innovation, feasibility for implementation, and potential for impact

Required Information

  • Presenter name(s) and contact info
  • Title of presentation
  • Indicate whether submitting for Pitch, Poster, or Both (must submit 2 separate forms if submitting Both)
  • Abstract (max 300 words) with the following elements:
    • Problem Statement
    • Innovation Description
    • Significance & Impact
    • Feasibility of Implementation

Yes! You may submit the same innovation in both formats or submit different projects to each. You must submit two separate forms if submitting both formats.

Nurses, students, interprofessional collaborators, health system innovators, faculty, and community leaders—anyone bringing forward a bold healthcare solution.

Depending on your category, you may be offered:

  • Coaching or design feedback
  • Video feedback for pitches
  • Spotlight during breakout or plenary sessions

Yes, you will need to register for the full conference if selected to present a pitch or poster.
