What You'll Learn
- The ability to apply knowledge, techniques, skills and modern tools of mathematics, science, engineering and technology to solve audio engineering problems.
- The ability to design systems, components or processes meeting specified needs for audio engineering problems.
- The ability to apply written, oral and graphical communication in broadly-defined technical and non-technical environments; and an ability to identify and use appropriate technical literature.
- The ability to conduct standard tests, measurements and experiments and to analyze and interpret the results to improve processes.

With a degree in Audio Engineering Technology, you’ll be ready to work in a variety of capacities:
Recording engineers capture and help create musical performances through recording, editing and mixing.
Live sound engineers design, maintain and operate sound reinforcement systems at many different types of events, including concerts, theater and sports.
Movies, television, videos, gaming – all require an audio engineer who can create or blend a wide variety of sounds that bring the images on a screen to life.
Audio equipment and software require someone with a background in audio engineering to best develop products for that market.
