Registration

Permits are now virtual, so there is no need to visit Campus Security to pick up a parking decal. Instead of a physical permit to display, each student/faculty/staff will register their vehicle's license plate(s) and then park where their virtual permit allows. This removes the burden of issuing, securing (no more lost/stolen permits) and displaying the physical permit. In essence, your license plate is your permit. No more long permit pickup lines!

Visitors may register at belmont.aimsparking.com. Registration is free of charge and may be done for up to two days at a time. Once registered, there is no need to print or display any permits on your dash as your visitor parking pass is virtual.

Registration of Motor Vehicles

All vehicles including automobiles, motorcycles, mopeds, and bicycles operating on campus must be registered and have a proper permit. Vehicle registration will be valid from June 2023 through August 15, 2024. All vehicles must renew their registration every academic school year.

Registration is done through My.Belmont by logging in to your account and clicking on the "Bicycle and Vehicle Registration" link under the Campus Security and Safety tab on the left. Before registering online, make sure you have the following information:

  • Vehicle Make
  • Vehicle Model
  • Vehicle Color
  • License Plate Number
  • Best Contact Phone Number with Area Code
  • Your local address (where you live while attending school, not your permanent residence)
If you have a state-issued disability tag or placard and intend to utilize disability parking spaces on campus, you will be required to provide a copy of your state issued disability parking permit and documentation evidencing that the permit is issued in your name when picking up your decal.

Once you have registered your vehicle online, there is no need to pick up a permit as they are virtual, with the exception of bicycles.

Persons desiring to operate a vehicle on campus on a temporary basis are required to register a temporary vehicle under the Parking Tab on My.Belmont.

Students whose parent or spouse is employed by the university may not use a faculty/staff parking permit when the student normally drives to class.

All residential students must park in their designated zone during the hours of 8am-4:30pm Monday through Friday.

All vehicles must be parked nose into the space. Backing in, including those with front license plates, is prohibited.
