Biography
Twila is delighted to join us from New York as a teacher. She has been a devoted Child Advocate for over 25 years, serving on the Governor’s Commission representing children and families on Long Island and as Chair of the Women’s Advisory Commission. With a strong musical background, Twila has enjoyed her time as both a Music Teacher and Pre-K Teacher, sharing her love for children through creativity and learning. She has been honored as “Who’s Who Among American Women” and recognized as a "Woman of Distinction."
Twila treasures her two daughters; her oldest is earning her master's degree from Johnson & Wales University, and her youngest is attending Penn State University. Drawn to Belmont for its exemplary Christian values, Twila’s life and work reflect her deep dedication to children and faith. Her family motto comes from Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me,” and 1 John 4:4 “Greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world.”
Twila looks forward to fulfilling the Belmont mission of guiding the children to become all that God created them to be. She is committed to creating a nurturing, Christ-centered environment where children can grow in both faith and learning. Twila is grateful for the opportunity to share her experience, passion, and love for teaching with the Belmont community and is excited to see all that God has planned for this new season.
