Shelby DeLay

Shelby first joined the Belmont community in 2019 and became a member of the Leadership & Engagement team in 2024. Shelby is passionate about helping students discover their leadership potential and seeing students establish a sense of belonging on campus and is enthusiastic about her work in the BOLD office where both of these things come to life daily. She is a first-generation college graduate and holds a MA in Higher Education and Student Development and is currently completing her EdD in Leadership and Organizational Intelligence. She is dedicated to guiding students as they navigate their educational journeys and equipping them with the skills they need to thrive at Belmont and beyond. 
Outside of the office, Shelby can be found searching for the best coffee shop in town, enjoying a nice sunny day reading in the park, baking, crafting, or just spending quality time with her community.
