Biography
Dr. Pearson received his M.D. from the University of Tennessee, Memphis and completed his residency in general surgery at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, followed by surgical oncology fellowship at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. Prior to joining Belmont, he was faculty for twenty-three years in the department of surgery at Vanderbilt University Medical School where he engaged in patient care, research, and all phases of medical student education. For the past ten years, he has focused his work as a medical educator on medical student coaching, case-based learning, and the teaching of foundational and advanced clinical anatomy.
