Biography

 

Dr. Vaughn is a Professor of Communication Studies and has been at Belmont for more than twenty-five years. She teaches courses in public speaking, interpersonal communication and family communication.

Her scholarly interests include instructional communication and power in interpersonal relationships. She has researched Montessori education, domestic violence shelters, service-learning and student perceptions of faculty office hours. She has published her work in many venues including Communication Education, Communication StudiesCommunication Teacher, and Business & Professional Communication Quarterly.

In her free time, she enjoys volunteering, hiking and reading.
