Julie Chenault

Biography

With a genuine passion for education, Julie pursued her Elementary Education degree at Tennessee Tech University. As an elementary school teacher, she loved the endless curiosity, contagious laughter and the pure wonder children express in every new experience! After teaching for many years, Julie stayed home to raise her three children. Married to her loving husband for 24 years, together they have created many cherished memories with their children, all who now attend Belmont University!

Julie is a member of Vine Street Christian Church which instilled in her, the peace of God's unconditional grace and love. It is important to her that each child feels that they are cared about, loved and cherished unconditionally. By nurturing their understanding of grace and love, she helps them develop compassion, kindness, and a sense of belonging.

A favorite Bible verse for Julie is 1 Corinthians 13:4-7. "Love is patient, love is kind...It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres."

This describes the qualities of love—patience and kindness. As a caregiver, Julie is called to reflect God’s unconditional love by nurturing children with patience and kindness. They guide her in all interactions with the children in her care.
