Biography

Geo Rim is a visionary leader and multidisciplinary innovator with an exceptional background spanning information and communication technology, film production, music industry leadership, and immersive virtual reality development. He is a Producing Fellow alumnus of the prestigious American Film Institute (AFI) Conservatory and previously held the role of International Marketing Director at Ocean Way Recording in Hollywood.

His diverse professional journey also includes significant public service, having served as Ranking Secretary of State Advisor at the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications in Cambodia. Additionally, he played a pivotal role in advancing Korea’s immersive technology sector as the Chief Advisor to the Korean VR/AR Industry Association under the Ministry of Science and ICT.

Currently, Geo Rim serves as the President and Co-Founder of Ocean Way East (O.W.E.), a Korea-based cultural content and technology company established in strategic partnership with Allen Sides, the legendary founder of Ocean Way Recording. Under his leadership, O.W.E. bridges global audio innovation and media expertise with Korea’s dynamic creative industries. The company specializes in high-performance sound system consulting, production services, and comprehensive facility design—including recording studios, convention centers, theaters, and theme parks.

O.W.E. maintains active partnerships with globally renowned institutions such as Ocean Way Audio and Ocean Way Nashville in the United States, and collaborates with Korea’s Genie Music to host concerts and multimedia events featuring internationally celebrated artists.

Through his continued efforts, Geo Rim is fostering cross-border collaboration, cutting-edge innovation, and the strategic global promotion of K-content. His overarching mission is to bring world-class experts in music, media, and cultural production to Korea, thereby enhancing the country’s cultural footprint and expanding the global influence of Korean creative content.
