Biography
Emily earned her B.S. in Chemistry from Southern Adventist University and her Ph.D. from the University of California, Riverside, where she explored photon upconversion in nanocrystals. Safety in the lab is her top priority.
Outside the lab, Emily’s life is full of fun and adventure. She loves to travel—especially with friends—and is a huge Disney fan. She also has a soft spot for trains and her adorable puppy, Bunsen.
Emily is excited to join Belmont, drawn by our strong commitment to undergraduates and excellence in education. She can't wait to share her enthusiasm for chemistry with our students and help further Belmont's mission.
