Degree / Training: B.S. from the University of Virginia; currently completing clinical training toward an M.Ed. in Human Development Counseling at Vanderbilt University (Clinical Mental Health track)
Approach to Therapy: I approach therapy with compassion and curiosity, grounded in the belief that healing and growth happen within a safe, supportive relationship. I strive to create an accepting space where clients feel seen and understood. My work often incorporates mindfulness, Internal Family Systems parts work, self-compassion, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and, when possible, somatic/experiential techniques. I especially enjoy supporting clients navigating trauma, depression, anxiety, substance use, or difficult life transitions.
Favorite Way to Destress: You can usually find me with a good book, spending time outside, or listening to my favorite jam bands. I especially love surfing, but when I’m away from the ocean, I keep up with professional surfing and any new surf movies!
Favorite Place to Unwind: The Well Coffeehouse is one of my favorite places to slow down with an iced coffee and a chocolate chip muffin. Sometimes I’ll take my coffee to go, walk around campus, and listen to music.
