Caroline Nelson

Simulation Operations Specialist
Center for Interprofessional Engagement & Simulation
Biography
Caroline is thrilled to be a part of the Center for Simulation and Interprofessional Engagement team as a Sim Ops Specialist. Having always been interested in the medical field, but unable to tolerate blood and needles, this is the perfect fit for her interests.
She was born and raised in Nashville, TN. Having been accepted into Belmont University, she feels this role is a full circle moment. She got her bachelor's in Marketing from Harding University in the fall of 2017. After college she participated in the Disney College Program, working in retail. In the summer of 2018, she returned home to Nashville and has stayed here since, working multiple jobs and performing as much as she can.
One of those jobs was the role of a standardized patient at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. She spent six years learning and growing in her role there, and earlier this year started exploring the world of simulation. In the Vanderbilt simulation center she ran console, engaged with educators and faculty, prepped the simulation space, and many other things. As she is always ready to learn different things, she puts that enthusiasm to good use exploring ways to constantly grow in every role she takes, this one being no exception.
